Steffi LaZerte, rOpenSci’s Community Assistant, organized a lightning symposium “Great R packages for ornithologists” for this years joint meeting of the American Ornithological Society and Society for Canadian Ornithologists. Steffi starts the symposium rolling with a 5-min presentation, “How can ornithologists find R packages?”
Mark Padgham, rOpenSci Software Research Scientist, is also contributing to this lightning symposium with a 5-min presentation on an rOpenSci package, “osmdata: Roadless areas and avian diversity”.
